Biozyme-Matrix purpose is for water clarification by enhancing the mechanical and biological filtration system thereby increasing the biological surface area to form surface matrixes for Biozyme to perform its optimum functions. The surface matrixes are similar to the formation of a spider web or many invisible nets where all suspended particles are trapped on its surface. All the suspended particles including faeces, uneaten food, algae and other biodegradable products will easily be consumed by Biozyme F-50, F100 and Biozyme-Enhancer. Biozyme-Matrix is a natural organic substance which is non-toxic and biodegradable and is stable indefinitely in solution and also provides special nutrients for Biozyme's bacterial growth for daily use in conjunction with a matured biological filter for optimum results. |

Baby Brine Shrimp have been used by aquarium hobbyist for years due to the ease of hatching and harvesting them. Newly hatched brine shrimp make excellent food for young fishes that you can slowly "wean" the fishes to flake food but with occasional feeding of brine shrimp to ensure the young fishes have adequate beta carotene in their diet during their early development of yellow, orange, and red pigment.
Brine Shrimp cultures The little bit of saltwater you add to your tank while feeding brine shrimp is not a concern (the shrimp can be rinse in freshwater before feeding).
Using an air stone can cause problems if very fine bubbles are created because fine bubbles can lodged in newly hatched shrimp and cause them to float to the surface to die an untimely death. Brine shrimp eggs hatch between 24 to 48 hours, after which the babies shrimp can be siphoned out and fed to your fish fry--first, stop the air-pump aeration and leave the shrimp to settle to the bottom of the jar before siphoning. Usually,
hatched brine shrimp will collect at or near the bottom of
the water, and un-hatched eggs will float. Use a piece of air tubing to siphon
the shrimp into a fine net or a cup (be careful not to siphon out any un-hatched eggs). Culturing phytoplankton is very similar to how we cultured infusoria, because both contain microorganisms that we rely on growing them for aquarium fish food. Any culture made from an aquarium will have both zooplankton and phytoplankton and just by introducing more light--direct sunlight in this case-- we encourage the existing phytoplankton to grow. But if the jar is kept in a less well-lit area--more zooplankton will grow instead. Green water is among the smallest foods available, and many aquarists consider it indispensable when raising newly hatched fry. The the green water will float and can stay in the fish tank for a long time until it is consumed. |
Aquatic & Aquarium Tips Don’t Destroy Helpful Bacteria. Because the nitrosomonas and nitrobacter are the domineering bacteria populations in the biological filter. Tiny Foods for Small Fry. Cultured live foods for fry include vinegar eels, baby brine shrimp, microworms and infusoria. Once fish eggs have hatched, you’ve only just begun the journey to breeding fish and raising their young. How can I control the algae? My pond water becomes murky and over loaded with algae. My 10 ft X 5 ft pond contains six Koi fishes about 2 ft in length uses pH of about 7.0 rain water. Using yeast fermentation bottle. You only need a couple of bottles to maintain good CO2 levels in a 92-gallon aquarium--great for growing fresh water aquarium plants and won't hurt your fishes. Do Planted Tanks Require CO2? Beautiful aquatic plants growth depends on lighting. With low to moderate lighting, adding CO2 is not necessary. Favorite aquatic plants are the swords of the genus Echinodorus osiris, they can tolerate temperatures as low as 60 F or 75 F degrees. Pruning and Planting. fern, stem or rosette are not trimmed the same way, liverwort Riccia fluitans are trimmed by pulling or snipping a portion of the mass. Freshwater Java fern (Microsorum pteropus) can suffer from Java fern melt if blue-green algae is present due to nutrient deficiencies. CO2 is only a problem for fishes if you add too much to the water. A good level for plants is about 20 to 30 ppm. CO2 doesn't stress fishes until the level gets to be about 50 ppm. Water Hardness, black or red algae affect your aquarium. Some sword plants growing from a riverbed that was pure calcium carbonate--yet, the swords were flourishing. How to avoid having algae in your aquarium? Starve your plants and algae will grow. But can one feed the plants and avoid algae growth? Healthy Plants Require Balanced Growing conditions. An unbalanced planted aquarium need a high level of lighting without adding carbon dioxide.
